Jared Mell aka @bangbangboogie grew up a few doors down from us. As he went through high school, we watched him get up early each day, put his board in his old classic car and drive off to surf.
We would run into each other at Blackies through the years. Next thing we know he is getting some solid media coverage, sponsors etc.
We've stayed in touch through the years and when we saw Matt Allen's drawing of him...we thought what a perfect collaboration.

We love Matt's work! His fine art and photography revolves around beach and surf culture. Matthew works in a variety of mediums including pen and ink, pencil, linocut prints, and watercolors.
